Fatima Kandri, EA, CPA, CFE - Certified Fraud Examiner, U.S Tax Court Practitioner
Fatima Kandri graduated from the Institute of Finance and Commerce in Casablanca with a 4.0 GPA. She then came to New York in 2002 where she received her MBA in Financial Management from Pace University, graduating with a 3.7 GPA.
In 2013 her husband suggested she take the CPA exam. Although nervous due to the fact that she had been out of school for seven years at this point, Fatima accepted the challenge. After hours of studying and dedication, Fatima was able to pass all four parts of her exam on her first try! That is when she found Arlia & Associates. Fatima originally walked in to our office looking for her experience as required by the board of CPA’s, however after a few months as an intern she realized she had found her home.
While working for Arlia & Associates, Fatima learned about the Enrolled Agent exam, which she quickly decided was one more accomplishment that she must achieve. In September 2015, Fatima passed this exam and was awarded her Enrolled Agent designation.
In addition to becoming an Enrolled Agent while with the firm, Fatima was also awarded her CPA license in June 2016, became a Certified Fraud Examiner in August 2016 and has passed all training to become an IRS Acceptance Agent and is currently awaiting her license. She is also scheduled to take the US Tax Court exam in November 2016.
